PRINTABLE SAFETY WARNINGS

Use BreakQuik only for cutting or demolition of rocks and concretes.

BreakQuik generates heat after it is mixed with water:

  • unexpected overheating can cause the product to blow out of holes with hot steam escapes after filling drilled holes;
  • BreakQuik can overheat if wrong type is used at wrong temperature and if hole size is beyond diameter shown in literature or mixing water is too warm.

When blow-out shot occurs once it will reoccur 3-4 times out of the same hole and it may occur in other holes. Make sure to stay away from filled holes when blow-out shots happen.

TO AVOID BLOW OUT:

  1. Use the right number grade of BreakQuik for your temperature range, for rock or concrete especially refer to the temperature chart in literature for grade to use according to hole diameter and temperature.
  2. Keep every source of heat away from BreakQuik.
  3. Do not mix into small or narrow-mouth plastic can or bowl but use metal bucket.
  4. Cool every tool to use before mixing.
  5. Do not use hot water for mixing BreakQuik.
  6. Mix manually not more than two bags of product (10kg) for each batch at a time.
  7. Mix thoroughly avoiding lumps formation for at least 2-3 minutes.
  8. If the mortar becomes lightly stiff add little more water to reach its fluidity.
  9. Pour all freshly mixed mortar into holes within 3-4 minutes after mixing.
  10. Do not overfill the holes.
  11. Do not tamp filled holes with bar or similar tools.
  12. Do not pour BreakQuik mortar in glass-made bottles or similar containers: It will shatter with danger.
  13. Dispose of non used mortar only after large dilution with water on an open surface.

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

  1. BreakQuik is a highly alkaline product; pH reaches 13 after contact with water and can cause severe irritation to mucous membranes for eyes especially.
  2. Wear safety goggles, rubber gloves during BreakQuik handling, mixing and filling.
  3. Wear dustproof mask in using BreakQuik in closed area such as tunnel or mine.
  4. Do not look directly into or stay near filled holes for at least 3 hours after filling completion.
  5. Keep people away from job site after filling.
  6. Cover the holes for rain or sunlight protection only with cloth or plastic sheet.
  7. Skin contact with BreakQuik has to be rinsed off with a large quantity of cold water immediately.
  8. Eye contact with BreakQuik has to be rinsed off without rubbing eyes with a large quantity of cold water immediately and consult a doctor quickly.
